Federation mode
The same client and the same server with a mode flag flipped: unbf.org.ua runs the official tournaments of the Ukrainian Backgammon Federation.
Rules in short
- No money: no balance, no stakes, no entry fees, no jackpots
- The zero entry fee is forced on the server — it cannot be bypassed through the API
- No platform rating and no platform branding
- Its own set of boards and its own tournament rules
- Players sign in through the federation portal, not the game form
Why it is built this way
A federation needs official tournaments with a protocol, not a betting venue. So instead of a second copy of the product we keep one engine with a mode: the game rules, the clocks and the tournament machinery are the same, tested on thousands of games, while everything money-related is switched off on the server.
For organisers this means a fix in the tournament logic arrives on the platform and at the federation at the same time.
