Shvets
Not a seventh variant but a table format: three or more players sit in a queue, two of them play, and the rest place their own cubes on that same game.
Rules in short
- The Boss and the Captain play; the rest of the queue are participants
- A participant places a personal cube on the Boss–Captain game
- The winner stays Boss, the loser goes to the back of the queue
- Money is settled for the whole table session, not per round
- Beaver and Jacoby are switched on when the table is created
What it is for
Shvets closes the gap that makes backgammon awkward in company: two people play, everyone else watches. Here those waiting play their own stakes against the Boss — so the game matters to the whole table, not just to two players.
